I went to the bookshop today and the mth1020 lecture notes weren't there yet so I couldn't check the price, but how much do lecture notes usually cost?
-
Somewhere between $15-25 probably.

:o I didn't know you had to buy the lecture notes, I thought they were handed out on first day for some reason.
Such a jaffy.
Do all units have lecture notes that need to be purchased?

Nope.
First sem astro doesn't. Second sem astro does. Physics doesn't. Chemistry does. It depends on the unit

You do get lab manuals for science subjects for free though, handed out in the first lab class

I think at least for MTH1020, the lectures notes are uploaded onto Moodle, so you could download them and print them out yourself. Only problem is that with MTH1020, you're allowed to take in the lectures notes for the exam but only the actual copies sold by the book store are allowed in the exam.

You can print the lecture notes off if you want, or you can buy them at the bookshop for mth1020. not all subs do this, i think buying is better, as they are bounded and it's more convenient to take into the exam. also, who can be effed printing 200+ pages of lecture notes. I'm not even sure if that would save you money, if you take time into consideration as well.

Yeah $15 but it's worth the money for reference in the exam.
Remember to fill out the notes with everything you need as that will be the only allowed into the exam - I forgot to bring it :(
-
yeah i cant be stuffed printing it all off, rather just buy it from the bookshop
but thanks for the replies everyone :)
