Would it be ideal to do further+methods+spesh in year 12?
-
You could do it but I'm pretty sure only two top scores out of those three maths subjects are able to be counted in your Top 4. So even if you get like 50 in further, 50 in methods, 55 in specialist only two of them can be counted in your top 4.

you might be doing a bit too much maths in one year... i've yet to meet a person who did that. usually people do further/methods in year 11 then further/methods and spesh in year 12.

Do further in year 11.

Do further in year 11.
The thing is that I'm in year 10 and i didn't choose to do further as an advanced placement. I chose biol. But i could probably ask to do further. It's just that i would need to catch up on the work - not to mention all the year 10 math.
Think i should give it a try?

Yup, missing 1/2 won't be that bad anyway. It shouldn't be too hard to catch up with further.

I know two people who have/ are doing it in the same year. One of them treated further as a complete joke and didn't receive a good score at the end for it. The other one who is currently doing it is achieving really high in further and all his other math classes.
I did further last year in year 10 without completing 1&2. You do not need 1&2 and you won't be at any disadvantage.

However if you can do biology units 3 and 4 instead of further in year 11 I'd recommend that instead.

I am going to do biology units 3&4 in year 11 (hopefully). I'm planning to do both biol and further.
