When a charged glass rod is placed next to a stream of water (not touching), does the water bend:
a) towards it or
b) away from it?
Please explain this phenomenon.
Haha...I know it has to do with the water being dipole/polar and with a charge blah blah blah. I just wanted to see what others think and if I'm actually explaining myself clearly enough
Thanks =]

We did this experiment in class as well, everyone was having a good giggle when stroking the rods with fiber, to charge them.
;)
