Title: Practice makes perfect
Post by: grannysmith on April 17, 2013, 10:06:49 pm
Hey guys,

So right off the bat, I'm in year 10 and I want to improve my writing. I wouldn't consider myself bad or anything, but I'd just like to have a head start for VCE.

My English teacher recommended English Language for me, so my question is: what can I do now to help me in the future?

I know the only way is to practice, but I don't quite know where to start [language analysis, essays (which types)...?] . So any ideas are welcome.

Thanks :)

Read the newspaper often, the age is good. I don't do English language so I have no idea about that.

Have an extended vocabulary, which you can draw on at the drop of a hat to sound eloquent.

Good luck with year 10!  :)
