Title: Networks/Critical Path Problem help?

Can someone please explain to me how to do this question?

Also if anyone has any really good resources could you also be able to send them to [email protected]

First we must recognise the critical path (longest time) to find the minim time.
The path is R, U, X, Z for a value of 26 - (12+0+8+6)

Thus, if we increase any other path, all it will do is raise the value to either equal to or less than 26. If there are two values of 26, the minimum completion time will not change. Subsequently, we must increase a value that is on the critical path. The only option that is on the critical path is option R, so that is the answer :).
