Title: Consistency in Methods
Post by: Frozone on May 01, 2013, 06:45:20 pm
Hello all,(keep in mind this is unit 1&2)
So i recently got my cubic and quartic functions test back and i only managed a 27.5/40 which has seen my average drop to about 78%. Some say i should be happy seeing as a lot of people i know are averaging 40-60% but personally i do not believe this is good enough.

So basically my question is how does one keep a consistently high grade in methods, as for example i received the top mark in one test(96%), whilst in the other i slumped to a (63%)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i want to be well prepared for year 12.
Thank You

It comes down to what type of mistakes you are making. If it has to do with the actual learning material, then you should probably revise the concepts more.
My problem is just silly mistakes. So for me it is really working out what is causing me to make little slips.

Conceptual understanding is always critical, not just mindless doing questions. Silly mistakes and forgetting things like units, coordinates can be very costly as well.
