Title: Sub Tangents
Post by: ArthurJ on May 06, 2013, 09:26:50 am
Hi guys, i have accurired information that my 3 class sac will have somehting todo with subtangents and areas.

I just have a question about sub tangents, is a subtangent an equation or a length?

And does any one  have any ideas about the sort of questions im going to have todo?

Also, does anyone know how to do it on the calculator?

Sub tangents are the distance between the x co ordinate of where the tangent meets your original graph and the x intercept of the tangent

But is it a length or equation?

I had no idea they were on the course.

I'd assume a length, since the equation would be the same each time (y=0).
