Title: Best way to be able to learn to apply my knowledge?

I seem to be able to get through all the exercises in the chapter quite easily by just referring to the examples (and not cheating at the back of the book at all, only for confirming answers). I only have trouble applying my knowledge, which is what is needed for SACs.

Best ways to overcome this problem? I'm buying the checkpoints book tomorrow.. and probably the ATARNotes one when it's released..

You're right on the money - you need to expose yourself to exam questions. You might be a tad confronted initially since your success rate will be lower, but keep at it and you'll be ready to go for the SACs. :)

I didn't like my Checkpoints... lol

I can recommend A+ Notes if you're keen to buy more (although I didn't use more than two study guides for revision).

As Stick pointed out, exams are the best way to apply your knowledge. Most textbook questions test knowledge superficially.

If I were in VCE again I'd start preparing for exams earlier. Too many students look at exam style questions for the first time in late October/November. You can imagine how this shatters a person's confidence in the lead up to the exam.

Already gone through the exam questions since 2005, so right now I already know that they can be challenging
A+ notes is not a problem, I am going to buy it tomorrow as well, I would buy anything just to make sure I score 35+ lol

I find further exercises useless too.

Go with checkpoints, they're great.
