I need help with this practice sac question, not good with bearings :(

thanks for the help, and to find the distance between the starting point and the camping spot would i use the sine rule or cos rule?

You would use the cos rule. You have two lengths and the angle that is in between them, therefore the cos rule is appropriate.

A great thing to remember is that when you have opposites, (that is, two angles, one length and a missing length or two lengths, one angle and a missing angle) you use the sine rule. However, if you have an angle, in between two lengths, forming a hinge, you would use cos rule.

So, in conclusion opposites = sine, hinge=cos
