Any AN-ers rocking up either as a keen-bean highschooler or a Faculty/Uni ambassador?

Either way, if you come down, I'll be at the Med part in Robert Blackwood Hall chatting to parents and high-schoolers from 9.30am-12.30pm, if you see me (short Indian guy in labcoat and black stethoscope) come and say hi and introduce yourself! :D

Anyway, just to update I will actually be in the "morning" session (9.30am -> 12.30pm) at Robert Blackwood Hall instead, as I swapped with a mate :) So come down and say hi :)

Reading brochures and information online is vastly different from asking and talking to current students at Monash, who can give you a more realistic and specific insight into what it's like to study a particular degree or course. Don't be afraid to ask questions, no matter how stupid or silly you think it may be (something I've learnt from when I attended past open days).

Damn, that makes me really sad. Hope that guy ended up in a course he enjoys :-\

Also, most of you guys will be at Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences for Med, but don't forget to chill for a bit with the Biomed reps! I have no idea who they are this year, but I can inform you all in advance that they're ridiculously awesome people

I think the important message is that in our Faculty, we're not out there just to make money and screw everyone else over, but we are here to share our financial nous and knowledge to other people.

What better proof to show our aims by sharing free stuff with them open day people?

I'm stationed near the tents at the multi-leveled carpark near the engineering faculty. If anyone needs some specific advice about undergrad engineering course feel free to talk to me. Most of those guys in the Engineering faculty, where you are supposed to get advice about the course are PhD candidates/ lecturers which may have a slightly different view to the course compared to us current undergrads.

I'll have a name tag JinXi (J.X). Not sure if our name will be visible though.

Also, make sure you grab all the freebies you can get hold of :)

Edit: This is in Clayton btw.

If not that, just come by to see me (Asian guy with glasses, which could be like any other student on campus). We'll be wearing "Monash University - Business and Economics" shirts, so it won't be hard to find us. Hope to see some of you there! :)

If you have specific questions or want info about a particular course or degree, attend the campus that offers it. Different campuses offer different degrees. The info at Clayton won't be the same as the info at Caulfield and vice versa. If you just want general info to get a better idea, attending either is fine.

I spent the majority of today studying for my methods SAC on Tuesday and I'll probably be doing the same thing tomorrow and Monday. I guess I'll have to wait until next year again :(

Yeh, should be okay. The Monash Caulfield library was filled with high school students before exams at the end of last year, as uni exams coincide with VCE exams.

but then again actuarial is all maths and eco + you get paid a TON.
