When I first started doing them, it took me about 30 mins. But if you learn to use you CAS, it can e much quicker. I got it down to about 15 minutes - LEARN YOUR CAS INSIDE OUT!!!

If you have just started with papers or haven't done enough to feel that you are absolutely confident with tackling spesh exam papers, I wouldn't stress. If you are trying your best atm, then that's good. But at this stage, I think you should be focussing on getting the answers right, (not letting distractors get to you). I think after a while, the same types of questions will constantly repeat, and you know exactly how to figure them out without even thinking because it is that repetitive.... then you'll naturally see that you will get through the multiple choice quicker.
Also, consider the approach you are taking in multiple choice. Do you do them first or after short answer? For methods, during reading time I read all short answer section and take time to read over questions that are pretty wordy and confusing, then I'll take a look a some multiple choice questions I can do in my head. THen when writing time starts I answer probably like 5 multiple choice questions, then go straight to short answer.
Then once I'm finished with short answer, I finish with multiple choice. It's a good approach for me because you can't really rush with short answer or guess any when time runs out. Even if you are racing against the clock, adrenaline kicks in and you somehow do multiple choice quicker. (that doesn't work so well with short answer)

On the methods 3/4 thread someone asked how long should we spend on multiple choice and it reminded me of how long I've been spending on the multiple choice on spesh.
Some of the multiple choice questions from the pre 2006 exams literally took me 2-3 minutes and on average it takes me about 45 minutes to finish the multiple choice.
Is that just me or is it supposed to be like that?
Depends on the exam. The Kilbaha exam MC took me around 35 minutes to do; others generally around 20 minutes. Then again, I do them as fast as possible. I avoid using CAS too much in these exams, but I probably could do with using it more often.
