Is it going to be in colour, or is it black and white?
Wondering, because this will determine (to a great extent) how I'll analyse the picture and other stuff.
thanks

Good Question.
Probably black and white because its cheaper for VCAA. HAHA!

most likely in black and white due to costs of printing over 45000 exams in colour
but there still is a chance it could be in colour if they believe the pictures colour is very significant and needs to be analysed. - most most likely in black and white though

For some reason I recall it being in colour. Your teachers should have copies of old spare exam booklets from years gone by though, ask to see them for definitive proof.

I'm fairly sure it'll be in black and white. You can check previous years exams and see that it's black and white on the VCAA pdfs (the ones that aren't removed by copyright anyway).
From old AN posts, scans of the past two years:
2012 Paper
2011 VCAA English Exam - Scanned
For some reason I recall it being in colour.
It wasn't edit: I'll switch to the slightly weaker statement of I don't think it was. Proof: http://i.imgur.com/FVSJlh.jpg I'm almost positive that wasn't a scan just done in black and white too.
You can also see the discussion on AN with the 2012 exam and not being able to figure out if it's a girl or boy due to the picture being black and white (and the colour image that we found on the internet making it a lot clearer that it's a girl).
