Title: Pacer in the exam?
Post by: shooterblitz on October 26, 2013, 05:12:02 pm
Hey guys

Not sure if someone has asked this previously, but just wanted to confirm if we're allowed to bring in the exam a HB 0.5 pacer? I've always used a pacer for internal exams, and feel extremely comfortable in using one. Wondering if VCAA has any restrictions on this?

Cheers

That's exactly the kind of pacer I used in my exam, so it should be fine.

Yeah, its fine. I use a 0.7 HB pacer. As long as its HB. That's what you want (for exam 1). Exam 2, you could use it too because its dark enough.

I'm pretty sure that the mathematics exams don't get scanned like the English exams, so using a pacer/pencil should be fine, given that you write clearly and without smudges.

Yeah a pacer is fine. I used one in my Further Exams last year, and even asked the supervisor to double check before I started.
