No. If you need to balance equation of the half-cells, they will give you the reactants and products, after that you simply follow the KOHES principles.

You only need to understand the layout of the cells (primary cells, secondary cells, fuel cells, electroplating cells, Brine-water membrane cells, molten NaCl cells and the Aluminium cells), basically what is the cathode/anode/electrolyte.

yeah Mao, that's what i meant..like the diagrams and all the crap that comes along with it. :( Chem just gets worse as the days go on.
