Title: Can i transfer?
Post by: celticwarrior on November 11, 2013, 06:25:15 pm
I'm sorry really new here (in fact first post)! And I'm sorry if this is not in the correct section of the forum.

But my exams this year havnt gone as i planned, i suffer from anxiety a little bit and i've crumbled in my exams.
My dream was to get into commerce at Melbourne but that could just be out of reach, so i was wondering if it's possible to transfer from one univesity to another because i believe i've done more than enough to get into commerce at monash.

Was just looking for the advice from others.

Thanks

It should be possible, provided you do well in the first semester, or the second if you dont get in from the first sem. Not sure what the average needed is though.

Yes you can transfer from monash BComm to unimelb BComm. I'm not an expert but to be safe you should aim for >75% average in your first year.

Regardless, BComm at Monash is a very well regarded degree and even if you graduate from Monash you should have open to you all career/academic/professional opportunities afforded to those who graduate from UniMelb.

Remember it's not just the uni you go too which matters, but rather what you do with your opportunity to study which sets you out from the packs of grads.
