Hi, at the moment I'm doing physics units 1/2 and just wondering whether we continue with Snell's law in physics 3/4. Anyone know?
-
Well... it's in the Unit 4 section of Jaracanda 3/4 in the "light - particles or waves" chapter, although I haven't actually seen any problems in checkpoints that use snell's law.... so i'm not sure how necessary it is.
However, if your school is doing photonics as its detailed study in unit 4, you will definitely be using snell's law.

Oh Snell's law is useful remember it.

It's just one small equation, best to remember. At the very least, you will need to remember the theory behind refraction to understand some of the applications of wave/particle models of light in Unit 4.

Ok...thanks guys!
