Much like the topic above, what are the main differences between an organization being defined as a Charity or as a Foundation?

Charities provide goods, services or finance to disadvantaged groups in society E.g. Salvation Army
Foundations on the other hand exist to further a particular cause and are usually involved in research, education or promotion in a particular cause. E.g. Heart foundation and Cancer research
