Title: Significance of the reference to Heart of Darkness in TRF?
Post by: walkec on September 13, 2014, 12:20:55 pm
Hi everyone,

I have a SAC on Hamid's The Reluctant Fundamentalist on Tuesday and I'm going over Chapter 12 at the moment. Changez mentions how he "felt rather like a Kurtz waiting for his Marlow" and I understand this to be a reference to the text, Heart of Darkness. But I don't see the significance of this reference to TRF, so can anyone please explain it to me?

Thanks  :)
