Was going through Unit 3 stuff and came up with 2 questions:
- What is the difference between the placebo effect and the Hawthorne effect?
- Is free recall a less sensitive measure of retention than serial recall?
Thanks :)
p.s Is there a topic dedicated to asking coursework questions? Or do we just ask questions in the 'Psychology 2015' topic? (I wasn't sure where to ask questions, so I just started a new topic) :P

I haven't gone through this yet but from my general knowledge, the Hawthorne effect is to do with being observed and knowing you are apart of an experiment, hence, leading to aberrant behaviour. It is entirely different from placebo.
Also, I don't think it matters if you post it in psych 2015 or not but it may be easier if you post it there so we can all discuss.
