Title: What does it take to get a 50 in further?
Post by: 2jzgte on February 15, 2015, 11:22:53 pm
Hi guys, What does it take to score well in further? I feel as though doing the exercises isn't as beneficial as actually understanding the theory/concepts behind everything, in summary knowing why and how it happens. Will this approach allow me to score well or should I aim to learn through the exercises?

You have hit the nail on the head so hard you broke the board you were nailing into.

You're absolutely right - spamming questions can help you score well, because then you know what to do if you meet a question you've seen before. However, if on your exam you're given a question you've never seen before, the best you can do is guess at what to do. If, though, you understand the theory and the concepts, then you'll know what to do on that brand new question.

Happy to hear that, been doing the same thing with physics and its working wonders in terms of solving questions I haven't seen before. I guess it fits the study smart not hard quote haha  :)
