Title: Further Mathematics
Post by: felixious on May 17, 2015, 03:15:27 pm
I'll be straight up and honestly say that I'm legitimately doing REALLY crap for this subject. I don't understand how people are able to breeze through this subject throughout the year then achieving a 40-50 SS/raw score (how I wish I was one of em') Any tips for how I can perform better? I'm not aiming really high for this subject because it is understood that I'm not great with numbers, but still wanna do well. I do textbook questions and practice past years SACs but still remained the same.

If you're wondering, I'm doing doing VCD and Studio Arts (subjects I love doing despite them gobbling up my time), English (achieved satisfying and decent grades so far) and Business Management (same goes for this subject).

It is my deepest regret for listening to people who believes math subjects are a must do for VCE. Not that I'm saying y'all should dump maths, but what I'm trying to say is, if you don't like or can't cope a subject, think twice REAL HARD before making your final decision. It's too late for me to reverse now, so I will have to deal with this for the next upcoming months.

tl;dr - doing badly in maths and wonder how people can chill in this subject and score 40-50 SS/raw; need some tips

I'm doing fairly well in Further this year, and I personally find that it's not about how many practice questions you do. It's more about how well you understand the concepts.

And I don't just mean creating a jam-packed notes page!

Understand the concepts you are learning; WHY and HOW they work.

PM me if you want some more practise SACS :)
