Hey guys...I'm just wondering how many marks I can drop if I want to get a 45ish+ study score.
SACs so far:
Linear: 84% or something (I know...terrible)
CORE: 99%
My estimations for my next two SACs (Geo and Matrices) are 100% because I've studied heaps for them!

From what I've read on other forums and posts, you'll (generally) need to have a good sac ranking and a cohort that does fairly well on the exam, and near full marks for the exams, to score over 45. I think I saw somewhere that losing a mark in exams = -1 study score, as it can get pretty competitive.

Wow...that is competitive! I've done 6 practise exams so far and I've been losing around 10 marks for both papers (some really dumb mistakes). I've got to get that up!

It really does depend on rankings. I had worse marks than you in some of my further SACs (80%, 96%, 100%, 100%), but I was still ranked one (my cohort was quite weak) and I ended up dropping two marks on the final exam (after a lot of practice) and still got a 50. If you're looking to reduce mistakes on the past exams, I would definitely suggest writing a worded list of every mistake you make from now on, looking at it before each practice exam you do (and the real exam) and putting it in your summary book.

I personally would love a 35+ in this subject, both SACs have been around 75%, I'm curious to how many marks i'll be needing to do well from here (top 5 in my class, not sure how I am compared to the other further class in my school)..

Yes, I did get a statement of study score. My SACs ended up scaling to 100, I dropped no marks in the first exam and two in the second exam.
I do agree that I definitely wasn't expecting a 50 knowing I'd dropped two marks.. I have wondered whether it could possibly be because I applied for special exam arrangements AFTER the further exams because a condition that I have that made me need to sit out 10 minutes of the first further exam (and my GAT score was 50/50 for maths)... but at the same time I was told that the application would have no bearing on the exams I'd already done.
So I don't think my results were affected by anything.. but I guess it's possible, because I do find it unusual.
