Hi, I have a couple of questions regarding the new Methods study design for 2016. Just a note, I am studying Units 1/2 under the old study design this year, and planning to study Units 3/4 next year.
Is there anything that is not taught from the old study design of Units 1/2 that I would need to know for Units 3/4 under the new study design?
Will I need to know about transformations using matrices for next year? My school seemed to skip this chapter in the textbook.
Thank you very much, any help would be appreciated!

I think this thread will help answer a few of your questions :)
New Maths Study Design Questions

You should definitely consider coming to the exam revision lectures - I plan to go over some of the stuff in the new study design, and hopefully put at rest the questions just like this.
As for what you've asked, there's nothing extra you need to know - any small things that aren't covered will be fixed by your teacher. Small issues if you do specialist, but they're not that big.
As for matrix transformations, yes, but it's a little open-ended at the moment. You don't need to know anything about matrices, but in the outcomes VCAA says you should be able to interpret matrix transformations. I reckon you shouldn't stress about them, maybe just be able to interpret them and put them in your bound reference.
