Post by: methodsboy on August 24, 2009, 02:17:54 pm
hey
i have never seen a graph like this and im not sure how to do question 248 (highlighted):

It's from a VCAA exam, so i trust that the Vs isn't a typo and that it's meant to be Vs not Ek. Could someone please give some guideance as to how to approach a graph such as this. Thanks  :)

its just the y intercept, 2eV or 2 * 1.6 * 10^(-19) J

But should the y-intercept be labelled as Ek not Vs?

doesn't matter which one, you can just convert it
