Hey all!
With only 20 days until the exam I'm sure you're all as stressed as I am :P
Just wondering, what are you guys thinking of doing after exam one? Are you going to come online and check your answers?
Previous Furtherians, what did you do? Did it work well? Did checking your answers psych/freak you out?

There is no absolutely way i am coming on atarnotes till after my atar. I remember my first sac of the year. It was a history one. And the question was on about enlightenment ideas, and then after thinking and thinking and thinking about it.. i came to the conclusion instead of talking about enlightenment ideas, i talked about something else. I stressed out for 2 weeks, 2 weeks of feeling like shit, only to get my sac mark back.. 100%.
Its not worth the stress or worry. I wouldnt discuss it with anyone

The way I see it, it's analogous to speaking about tests/SACs/exams after tests/SACs/exams. Some people are okay about it, but I hate it. As soon as it's finished, I'm out of there, preferably never to speak about it again (or at least until marks are back).
So, for me, I didn't look, nor did I wish to. But it's a very personal thing.

There is no reason to check your answers unless you're extremely confident you achieved your expectations.
Personally, coming home after the further exam, logging on ATARnotes and checking my answers, only to find out I put C instead of A, would honestly destroy my confidence and would be detrimental to my consequential exams.

im probably different to alot of atarnotes but i was in really poor form during my examination period and i needed to know roughly what marks i got for what subjects asap so i can plan whether i would likely have to go to university interstate or not and make preparations accordingly.
so immediately after every exam i checked the answers on atarnotes and did a super specific SS calculation. psychologically it didnt do much to upset or stress me out, i fluked a few quesions and dropped 2 silly marks (such is further maths) and i was a bit mad for 2 seconds then when i tallied my total score i was pretty happy. at the end of the day i over-estimated my score by 2 marks but it was inconsequential in the end
TL;DR if the atar you legitimately expect to get is borderline between getting you into your course or not, learning your marks after an exam can help people make a far more accurate SS prediction which will help you prepare for your atar and which course you are likely to receive an offer for in advance

im one of those people that just need to know whether I did poorly or not... the anxiety of not knowing would just be too much for me (first vce subject so you cant help but feel excited u know?)... but I'm going to try make it so that when i come back to look at answers I wont be sad :)
