I dont quite understand this section. Could someone please explain this!!
The points i have are:
- Planing meetings with employees/unions when negotiating and establishing collective agreements
- Organising training for staff
- To negotiate individual contracts with employees in the workplace over and above conditions outlined in the relevant award or collective agreement.
- To resolve disputes in the work place
- Set up policies and procedures for the handling of grievances/complaints
Can someone please add to or explain the points i have said. Provide new points too if you wish, as long as they are explained
Thank you very much. (The quicker the reply the better (y) (y) (y))

Hey there, I like to sorta split it up into three:
- Negotiation: Sitting down with employees/trade unions, negotiating to create an enterprise agreement, ensuring 10 National Employment Standards are covered/met
- Implementing: Putting in place strategies that allow for the conditions of the enterprise agreement to be met. For example, if a condition was increased pay on weekends, then the role of a HR manager may be to look at ways of decreasing pay on weekdays (e.g minimising labour). Basically, allowing for the conditions to be met
- Keeping up to date: This would be keeping informed by Fair Work Australia on changes in legislation that may impact on employee relations, and also sending off enterprise agreements for them to be verified.
Hope that helped :)

I didn't get any marks for writing negotiating contracts (obviously wrote more than that, stated enterprise level etc)
Teacher argued that negotiating is a skill and not a role.
Pretty stupid i know
