Post by: Hydroxyl on June 12, 2016, 09:48:57 am
Hey Guys!

Could someone please show me all the possible ways to fill an amortisation table - with unknown variables in any location?

Thank You!

Hey Hydroxyl

There are various types of loans where amortisation tables could be used, and it may take a while to go through all of them.

I suggest you check out the textbook and copy down all the formulas into your bound reference (if you haven't already done that in class).

Most of the notes for amortisation tables can be found in:

Ch9 pg311-14 (reducing balance loans)
p332-4 (annuities)
pg343-45 (compound interest investments)

Hope that helps! If you don't understand anything let us know  ;)

There is an example on the sample examination paper on the VCAA site.
