Title: Chemistry AOS 1 Explanation questions
Post by: Cassidyhogi on April 08, 2017, 10:18:35 pm
Hi
So I got these explanation questions from my Heinneman textbook and 2017 Checkpoints and these are AOS 1 only.
Can someone please look at my answers, correct them and provide feedback on the way I write my answers and ways to strengthen them?
If you look at my responses you will obviously notice which questions I am struggling with.

I really appreciate your feedback  :)

Hi, I've briefly read over your points. Most of them are good, try including an example. A lot of your definitions sound like dictionary definitions, they are accurate, but boring and not fun. Your teacher will expect a textbook definition, yet if you can include a reference to an experiment or something, you are almost guaranteed to get lots of marks because your teacher/examiner will remember what you did compared to everyone else; even if the theory is slightly off. The moral is you are demonstrating that you can apply the knowledge.

I am not sure how relevant those examples are for you, but they are worth a thought.

Wow thank you that really helps  :)
Yeah I think my teacher would prefer responses similar to your example ones.
