Knowing the similarities and differences between the motivation theories isn't specifically listed on the study design, so it's not main knowledge - but it's really useful for determining which one to use for case studies, so awesome that you're trying to learn them!
It's very difficult to discuss similarities between ALL three, so it's better to look at all of the different pairs of motivation theories.
For example: With Maslow and Lawrence/Nohria, they both discuss the need that individuals have to 'belong' within their workplaces at some point or another in order to be motivated.
Those are the kinds of things that you're looking for - have a look at all of the different elements of the motivation theories (for example: all the steps of Maslow's hierarchy, compared to the elements that Locke says goals require) and play Snap with yourself! Look for the common denominators/threads between what the theorists say motivate individuals.
