Hello,
I want to transfer to Melbourne Arts. At the moment my average is slightly over 70%, if I maintain until the end of the year, what are my chances?
Thank you

not sure about exact specifics, but anything 70-75 should give you a pretty good chance?? if you can bump it up to 75+ , then i'd like to say your chances are pretty good, and it's likely you'll get it, unless im misinformed?

I had a mate get 64 WAM in year 1 arts and managed to transfer to commerce (which I imagine is probably more competitive but I could be just talking shit), so I think you'll be alright.

Did your friend transfer from melbourne arts to melbourne commerce or from elsewhere?

You'd put yourself in with a decent! 70 is a good WAM. Like, as always, do your best to boost it even more - to just, keep increasing your chances. Are you in first year or second year?

I am First year and would be applying for transfer at the end of the year

I also emailed unimelb a couple days ago and they finally replied. they stated that it differs each year but generally people who are admitted to arts, achieve 75%-79%. Are they just exaggerating? It seems a bit much for just arts (All their postgraduate courses are looking for 70% minimum).

I know some people who went from science and environments to arts (all unimelb) last year on like 68 - 70 WAMs so I think it really depends on who you're competing with that year
