I have been genuinely curious about this particular topic for a while- but I have a dilemma- I like both. So which is the better tasting one, and why?
-
Fried by a long shot :D love the crunch ;)

Is it bad I've never had a dim sim?

You haven't lived until you've had one :P
(It's probably not bad haha)

I'll add it to my list of things to try! ;D

Steamed. YOu can pour soy sauce over them and they are so good.
-
Personally I prefer them steamed with soy sauce!

Steamed with soy sauce as others have said!
-
Have to agree that steamed are best! :)

depends on the meal and the setting. If i am sitting down eating a meal then steamed. but if i am on the go and just need to walk and eat one, then fried. far less messy and i prefer the crunch. if im getting fish and chips ill pick fried too because the textures would clash if i picked steamed and steam + soy sauce would class with the fish and chips + tomato sauce but you can dip fried dim sims in tomato sauce (especially to cool them down if theyre too hot).
so for each of the only 3 situations in which i eat dim sims
sitting down eating (eg: at a restaurant): Steamed
on the go: fried
with fish and chips: fried

Steamed all the way. No debates needed for this.

How about being classical Australians and having good ol' steak and chips??
That is, I wouldn't prefer Brussel Sprouts, as I am not the adventurous foodster, but I certainly wouldn't have Dim Sims anywhere on my list of Fried/Steamed food.
EDIT:
/close thread :D
