Hi, so I have been given the following comparative essay prompt:
‘For one time…I had the satisfaction of having done a thing that had come out right’ (YOW)
Proctor: ‘I can, And there’s your first marvel, that I can’ (TC)
Although there is much despair in the texts, there is also cause for hope.
The only point of comparison I really have is Anna/Proctor and how YOW is inspirational because of Anna's development. Where as Proctor's death (and the general depiction of a flawed political system in The Crucible) is hopeful due to it being a call to action/change to the audience to ensure this does not happen again. I am not really sure what else to say. Could anyone help me?
