ATAR Notes: Forum

What is everyone thinking and planning on doing each day between now and the HSC. Like how many papers do you think you will do a day and what is your daily schedule looking like.
Also, would you do a full paper in its entirty in one sitting or have breaks throughout the paper.
What has been some past students schedules leading up to the HSC?

At this point, I personally did three sets of 3 hour chunks a day. Most of these were papers, sometimes I'd do something different like brainstorming around syllabus dot points I'd had trouble with, doing chapter review questions similar to stuff I'd gotten wrong in papers - Etc. But the bulk were exams or exam-like scenarios ;D

My study was very much based on what each subject needed. So in this period, I was entirely re-writing my Extension English essay. And I mean, basically restructuring it all together, making it x10 more complicated, etc. So it took a looot of my time. This was based on my trial feedback. So I suggest looking to your trial feedback and making your study plan based on that. So for SOR, I needed to work on my understanding of ethics, so I spent a day restructuring my notes so I could study from them more effectively. For French I needed to work on my tenses...
So I picked a weak point in each subject to definitely address so I wasn't falling behind in the same ways I did in trials, and then from there I'd fill time by testing myself with past papers/questions, knuckling down and committing things to memory...
In terms of my days: they weren't as structured as Jamon's. I was more keep going until you're tired and then stop to eat a mango and sit in the sun, and then go at it again. Mostly my days were super productive, with the odd day here or there where I could only go for half a day and then I'd retreat to something "half studying" later on, like listening to my essays, watching my English prescribed text again, watch YouTube crash courses for Modern, etc. My biggest advice is listening to what you are capable of each day and knowing when it's time to take a break!

My school is currently ranked 42nd.
My subjects rankings are:
19/40 In General Mathematics 2
18/33 in standard English
30/63 in business studies
14/25 in PDHPE and
38/54 in Senior science
Am I on track to getting a 72 atar which is what I need to begin a nursing course in university? I'm really stressing out right now :o

Those ranks look pretty decent, I reckon a 72 ATAR is achievable for you! What were your scores for your Trial Exams? :)

I got 93 for business, 80 for general, 76 for pdh, 67 for standard and 63 for senior. Gotta work on my English and senior a tonne

I am struggling with finding the motivation to polish off my notes, it feels like such a boring and lengthy task to do. I know I should have finished them off before school ended but we had so many fundraisers and graduation events in the last few weeks of school that took up all my time. I really just want to get into doing questions as I find them a bit more exciting but I know I need to/should finish my notes off first so I have that out of the way.
Any motivation tips are welcome guys, other than setting overall goals because I do have those and not even they are helping. Because at the moment all I wanna do is binge watch Suits, not study ;D

Maybe don't cut suits out, but just save it for the afternoons. So you can study from 9-1, stop for lunch and two episodes of suits, study 3-7, stop for dinner and have the rest of the night for suits!
My motivation for studying came from things I was proud of or enjoyed - like GOOD LOOKING study notes. You know, the laminated kind <3

start with the subjects you like most first!! when you finish those, you feel a great sense of accomplishment (and you finish these a lot faster).

My boyfriend has only just got me into it so only just up to season 2!
