Title: SCORE OUT OF 50 GOING INTO EXAM
Post by: emmykatexo on October 10, 2017, 05:14:14 pm
Hey everyone,
I was just wondering, for past students, what score out of 50 did you go into the exam with and what study score did you subsequently achieve.
Thanks

Hey hey! :)

Could you clarify what you mean by "what score out of 50 did you go into the exam with"?

^. Are you referring to the 50% weighted SAC score vs 50% exam, emmykatexo?

if this is the question....

no one can be sure about what score they are actually since your sac results are dependent on your cohorts exam performance, so you won't know what it will be before the exam. Only cases where you would have a very good idea about it would be something like very high ranks in a elite select/elite private school which for some subjects can be assumed to be 100/100 for sacs, going off previous years scores/cohort strength etc

Hey,
so our teacher has given us a score out of 50 to give us an indication what we are going into the exam with. So what we did was calculate our unit 3 and 4 marks out of 100, divide both by 4 to make them both out of 25 and added them to see whatever it was out of 50.
Thanks.

that's sorta like weighted sac average i guess I don't really see the point in this since your actual scores doesn't really matter only your rank for sacs. and even if you knew your raw "score" it's you standerdised score that actually matters.
