Title: How many paragraphs for text response and comparative?
Post by: kiki. on October 16, 2017, 12:40:54 pm
Hi everyone,
How many paragraphs would be best for text response and comparative?

I want to do 2 for comparative because I can get really deep in my analysis but my teacher say I should do 3+. Thoughts?

The standard is 3 as it allows you to explore multiple avenues and many people struggle writing a lot about a certain idea.

But it all depends on your writing style, some people like yourself do 2 because they want to really flesh out and go ham on analysing the ideas presented in them. Some do 4 and others do a sentence.

I guess it all comes down to how much can you say about the ideas your writing about and whether you write it in a coherent fashion.

Generally, at least 3 but as many as time allows for. Remember your goal is to show your understanding and knowledge of the text(s)/material; the more you show, the more opportunity for you to be rewarded marks.
