Title: screwed up
Post by: dcesaona on August 10, 2018, 06:14:15 pm
Anyone study Akhenaten...? What were the motives behind his religious reforms? I just got out of my trial exam and for some reason this threw me off and I wrote the shittiest response I've ever written in ancient and am so annoyed with myself. There goes my hopes for getting a good mark in ancient  >:(

I wrote that he wanted to curb the power of the Amun priesthood and cult and so moved to Akhetaten where he could focus his worship on a single god. But those are the only arguments I had! And I don't even think they're correct aggghhhhh. Plus I didn't have any historians in there. Also, I began my response with the political motives behind his move to Akhetaten. Stuff up big time. Totally got thrown off.
