Title: Should I pick up Physics 3/4 next year

I checked the pre-req for engineering, as I'm considering of doing electrical engineering. I realised i dont need physic to apply for engineering, as I'm currently doing chemistry.

So is physic really necessary for engineering? How hard is the workload?

I think engineering is more Maths than physics so you wouldn't need a lot of knowledge on physics for engineering. But it helps a lot though, more so than Chemistry. VCE Physics isn't really hard so if you do don't it, you aren't at a very big disadvantage. The workload is way less than Chemistry. All you need to memorise some formulas, know theory that isn't very complicated (except light and matter) compared to Chemistry. It's still a challenging subject to some. But most would say that VCE chemistry is harder than physics. I think if you're doing really good at maths, then you will be good for engineering. I'm still doing vce so I don't know too much about the physics in engineering.
