Hi everybody,
Hope everyone is well. I am starting to get into exam revision and as a FM student aiming for a study score of 45+, it's vital that I do not lose marks to silly mistakes. My school does the matrices, financial, statistics and linear modules. To anyone that is currently taking further 3/4 or has done so in the past, would it be possible if you could share some common silly mistakes as I do not want to make them in the exam. Thanks :)

I didn't do FM or tutor it so don't know the common mistakes but I think the main thing is to find out your own personal common mistakes. This is simply done by completing exams under exam conditions and seeing where you go wrong and why you made those mistakes.

also if you look at the examiners reports of the past exams (especially if u use it as a practice exam) they say where most people messed up
e.g. i found that most ppl who tried to use formulas instead of the finance solver on the calculator in those more complicated financial questions usually messed up, so i started practicing using both the finance solver and the formulas to double check i got the right answer :)

Sorry I didn't go through specifically to look for the exact posts (I've run out of time now), but I hope this will help nonetheless. :)
