Look I know ive been posting a lot about this, but I recently overheard a few people talking about doing 40 sets of practice exams (with 1 set being exam1 and exam2). Where on earth do they get that amount of papers from? I printed all of VCAA, Itute (wack exams btw), Engage and im on 50 practice exams. did they print out other methods exams from other states? is it worth it if I do the same despite the different study design? I also read a thread recently regarding practice exams and this user wrote that "VCAA releases 7-8 sets of exams every year (regarding methods exams)". I am so bloody confused

100 total exams is slightly excessive in my opinion

The real question is HOW do people even find enough time to get through that many trials (assuming they’re doing more than one 3&4)?? Do these people have more than 24 hours in a day?
Honestly, it’s not about the number of trials you do. VCAA don’t give your mark based on your “effort” or the number of trials you’ve done (they don’t know or care), the whole point of trials is to familiarise yourself with the questions and practice the content and your time managment. If you’re doing that, then I don’t see why you need to do 80+ trials. And tbh I’ve never heard of VCAA releasing “practice exams”. Maybe they mean VCAA exams as in past exams, sample exams and the northern hemisphere exams. If not then can someone please enlighten us as to how to access them...

It's not unusual to do ~60 total exams to be honest. And no VCAA does not release practice exams although there are 12 years of past VCAA exams (24 exams total) and two years of NHT exams (4 in total) bringing us to a grand total of 30 exams. On top of that there are companies such as MAV, NEAP, Itute (probably not worth), Insight, Heffernan, Kilbaha, QATs, TSSM and Engage which write their own exams yearly. These are paid and cannot be bought by students. I would approach your teacher for these exams. While the quality of these exams is debatable I have found MAV, Neap and Heffernan to have some excellent questions.
I would recommend prioritising VCAA exams though as they often have the best questions.
