Title: Time Constraints and Formatting
Post by: pha0015 on October 19, 2018, 03:21:07 pm
If I don't have enough time, should I sacrifice the last paragraph for a conclusion or vice versa?

Also, if the language analysis piece only has a short secondary comment, should one paragraph be dedicated to the whole of it, and the other two (is there a need for more paragraphs) for the main passage, or should small comments be dispersed throughout other body paragraphs, which would make for a potentially weak analysis?

Body paragraphs are where most of your marks come from so I would finish off a paragraph rather than write a conclusion if you run out of time. Having a conclusion is an added bonus cause it's a conventional thing but your mark has pretty much already been decided by then so I wouldn't worry too much about it (of course, write one if you have time).

With your language analysis question, I'd analyse them separately just cause it's easier that way. If you get a single comment, it'll most likely be substantial enough that you would be able to write an entire paragraph on it.
