Title: Basic questions about CHEM
Post by: Ars0006 on October 22, 2018, 09:50:40 pm
Hella basic question :
Is units  3/4 chemistry content heavy or is it full of applications of previously learnt ideas etc..? And why exactly do people say it's a 'difficult subject' ie : what throws people off

It has a good balance of content and application. It’s a difficult subject because often simply memorising things do not allow you to get great marks such as in some other subjects. You have to thoroughly understand your content enough that you can apply this knowledge to UNFAMILIAR situations and do so correctly. Too many go into Chem thinking they can just remember a bunch of formulas and definitions and do well. You need to consistently practice and apply your learning.
