Title: product, quotient rules on CAS?
Post by: AR1472 on October 24, 2018, 06:54:31 pm
Hey, is there a fast way of using the product and quotient rules via the CAS? I take forever doing the longer questions by hand and was wondering whether there's a shortcut. Or would I need to find the derivative of each separate term first before solving the rest of the question? Thanks!

you just differentiate the expression and they will give you the derivative so technically the CAS does those diff techniques but doesn't show you the steps.

The importance of the product and quotient rule is really only for exam 1 where there is no CAS.
