also do you have to get full marks in your SACs to achieve a 50 or even a 45??

Hey honeyjoy, welcome to AN :)

The VCE Chem exams are usually one of the hardest out of all subjects, last year you could get an A+ on the exam by getting above 79% (95/120). To get an 45, I believe you would have needed to get around roughly 103-5. Definitely don't need to full mark SACs to get a 50; I didn't ace all my SACs but still did. It's more important how you're ranked relative to your cohort.

Hope that helps :)
