Dont understand crashing activity B will create a new critical path, why does the assessors report say it doesnt?

If this refers to the 2008 paper, I don't understand your question. There is no reference to crashing activity B in 2008.

Maybe they mean option B? If so, I don't see the mistake.

The original critical path, ACFHJL, has a completion time of 22 days. The only path using G (ACGKL) takes 20 days. Increasing G by 1 day makes it 21 days, so it's not a critical path.

Increasing activity D by 7 makes ABDJL go from 15 to 22 days.
