There was a tie-breaker for which date had the most votes so I've picked Monday 3rd December to give people a decent chance of being able to plan their schedule.
Here's the details:
start time: 11am
date: Monday 3rd December
bring: food to share, keepcup or similar for drinks, frisbee/footy/vortex if you have one, picnic blanket if you have one
location: Carlton gardens, the standard meetup spot by the tram stop. (may be changed depending on weather)
Any questions? Don't know how to use ptv? location unclear? Want to indicate attendence? Reply in the thread!
Get hyped! Can't wait to put faces to (user)names :)

BTW absolutely everyone is welcome to attend :) This isn't restricted to people with a certain post count or anything! If you're reading this then you're invited.

If there's enough interest, we could run a 2nd meetup the day after ATAR release as that was also a popular date

I have work that arvo so will potentially have to leave a bit early depending on how long it goes (or I could just bring my uniform so I can go straight to work hmmm) but I’m keen!

If you're worried about the whole meeting strangers thing, you're welcome to bring a friend as well!
If you're worried about it being awkward, then you don't need to worry, it most certainly will be awkward - but only for a minute (I promise!) :P
For people who haven't been before, it generally goes a bit like this: based on the one meetup I've actually gone to lol
-Some people rock up
-Everyone else struggles to find them
-Eventually we find each other, people chat, forget each others names several times, maybe kick a ball around or play a few card games
-If Brenden comes he'll try to convince everyone to study philosophy
-Someone shows up very late
-We all introduce ourselves all over again
-Eventually everyone leaves
