Title: Failing VCE
Post by: TheIllusion on June 05, 2019, 10:11:57 pm
Hey AN,
On the behalf of a fiend.
So one of my classmates is currently in VCE studying 5 subjects. Just wanted to know if he were to fail two subjects if he would fail VCE?
Thanks.

Hello!

To get your VCE, you need to pass at least 16 units.
These must include the satisfactory completion of three units from the English group including a Units 3 and 4 sequence and at least three units 3 and 4 subjects (which may include any number of English sequences once the English requirement has been met).

Assuming these are all 3/4 subjects, if he were to not pass two subjects out of five, then unfortunately he wouldn't meet the requirements as he only has three 3/4 subjects satisfactorily completed.

All the best :)

Following on to what Im21074 said, I think it'd also be a good idea if your friend spoke to their year level coordinator or someone similar about their concerns :)
