Title: Chemistry External Sources 2020?
Post by: JakeNguy on October 26, 2019, 08:54:25 pm
Hi everyone,
So I am studying Chemistry 3 & 4 next year and let me tell you I am struggling. I was hoping if anyone has any recommendations on what books I should resort to next year such as ATARnotes, Connect Education, Checkpoints, A+ notes and etc.
Thank you in advance!

Personally, i've found chem 3/4 to be easier than chem 1/2.

Some of the confusing stuff from chem 1/2 is not carried over to chem 3/4 such as ionisation constants, atomic absorption spectroscopy, gravimetric analysis etc...

I was struggling in chem 1/2 but this year i love chem 3/4 and am doing well. But remember that you have to actually put the effort in to understand the theory. Don't just brush off some of the concepts, actually learn it and understand it. Also revise constantly throughout the year. Apply and test your knowledge by doing as many questions as you can.

With that being said, the most HELPLFUL resources i had were the ''connect education notes''.

same lol unit 1/2 was a pain.

I recommend NEAP Topic questions book and the exam book with 4 complete exams to do they are handy.
Edit: they make you think, some of the questions are extreme.. as they make you think from different perspective, if that makes any sense and its fun to do and has only few errors.
