Title: Help with Insight 2007 question, please!
Post by: nala on November 07, 2009, 04:52:27 pm: I am having trouble understanding the solutions for Q3(f). The step I'm confused about is where the arrow is, I can't figure out where the pi came from. The solutions are attached.

Any help would be much appreciated! :)

The 2nd quadrant is where $\tan$ is negative. Thus the $\pi - tan^{-1}\left(\frac{5a}{25}\right)$
