Title: variance

a) what is the affect on F if q is increased by 10%?
b) what is the affect on F if q is decreased by a third?
c) what change in q is required for a 50% increase in F?

never really learned this stuff so just want to make sure im doing it right

$F \propto \sqrt{q}$

if so then:

let $F=k\sqrt{q}$

a.)

$F'=k\sqrt{1.1q}=\sqrt{1.1} k\sqrt{q}=\sqrt{1.1}F$

Hence F has increased by $100*(\sqrt{1.1}-1)$ percent.

and yeah similair strategy for the next.
