Title: Standardisation of HCl
Post by: shokstar on February 21, 2010, 05:18:13 pm
We are titrating HCl against Sodium Carbonate to find concentration of HCl. On question in the report asks if the sodium was not heated as it should be and had absorbed 2% of its mass in water would that be a random or a systematic error?

i cant decide. Thanks guys.

I think it is a systematic, cause if you can repeat the experiment again to get a correct value for your HCl concentration.
i may be wrong. hah

Yes it's systematic error. Experimental procedure is wrong.
